Ilinca Ghibu

Born in Romania in 1971, Ilinca Ghibu grew up in Montreal. Her love affair with painting began during a sojourn in Paris as a teenager which fostered her interest and appetite in pursuing a career as a visual artist. Her degrees in both law and communications provided her with a strong work ethic and relentless desire to succeed. She studied fine arts at the Saidye Bronfman Centre for the Arts and The Visual Arts Centre for over ten years, while pursuing a full time career as a lawyer. Since 2012, she decided to devote herself entirely to her artistic process. In 2017, she undertook Visual Arts studies at UQÀM. Her work is shown in various galleries across the County.
