Linsay Cornfield

My art springs from a life-long exploration of the human psyche, first as an actor, later as a psychotherapist, and now as an artist.

Since 2011, it’s been my privilege to spend my winters in San Miguel de Allende in the mountains of Mexico, returning to Canada for spring, summer and fall. In 2013, I moved from Toronto to Wellington in Prince Edward County, Ontario after falling in love with the landscape, the water, the vibe of an island community. Both Mexico and Canada inspire my art.

I use painting as a pathway to soulmaking, creating connection to the soul by illuminating mystery, exploring the unseen, capturing the eros and the beauty of the natural world.

My medium is primarily acrylic. I like it for its quick response. My style has been described as loose, raw, playful, energetic, whimsical. I paint what I feel as a manifestation of my spontaneity in the moment.
